My name is Derek Pilling. I’m a husband, father of three and Managing Partner at Tahosa Capital, a growth equity firm focused on the needs of technology-enabled services businesses. I started Tahosa in 2015 with the goal to build a world-class growth stage investment firm that would endure beyond my tenure with the firm.
I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. After a short sting in investment banking, I attended graduate school at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, graduating with honors.
The things I enjoy most include working with entrepreneurs to build great companies, coaching youth soccer, skiing and spending time with my family.
I live in Denver, CO with my wife, Wendy and our three children, Sophia, Anna and Reid.
